I know there's many fans of The Fall on here. I bought Live At The Witch Trials when it came out, and carried on with them for years, but stopped buying everything they released, after Shiftwork. I fell down an online Fall rabbit hole tonight, and I was amazed to discover I somehow missed HEH, !? Wot? Don't know how that happened. I'm trying to find a copy but the prices are ridiculous for a physical copy. I don't do streaming. Is there anyone here who can sell me a CD or vinyl copy for a price that won't make my balls shrink?

In reply to aln:

I've not got a physical copy to sell but just wanted to chip in and mention the peel sessions boxset that rough trade released a few years ago: absolutely essential if you haven't got it.

There are multiple copies on discogs.com. Some are at silly prices, but there are a few - mostly reissues - at less silly prices.

This is the cheapest one I've found on a quick look, but there may be others:

I played that album a lot on cassette mid 80s. Always regretted selling the 10” Slates album when short of money but see there’s some ok prices on Discogs, so ta!

If you want to go deeper down the rabbit hole, later stuff is patchier, but The Unutterable from about 1999 is one of their very best. And IMHO, the last properly good Fall album was Your Future Our Clutter but views will differ on that.

Hex has greatness, but only Slates is perfect.

Thanks. I tried to order it but apparently Discogs think my email address is invalid, so I can't register with them.

A little bit of Fall-related trivia hidden in this thread too:

In the words of Peel you must get them all.

I bought all their early albums on release until being very unimpressed by their run of (imo their 3 worst) albums Extricate, Shift work and Code Selfish. But I did eventually buy them for completeness.

Amongst the later albums I particularly rate are

Your Future Our Clutter

Fall Heads Roll

The Unutterable

The New Real Fall Album (country on the click)

I wish I could afford to.

As did I. I like Extricate, Shiftwork is good but patchy. I kinda lost interest after that.

> Fall Heads Roll>

I was given a burned copy of that last year, it's decent but I've only listened to it a few times.
