25th and 26th of May. Cracking line-up; Primal Scream, Kasabian, Echo and the Bunnymen, Dirty Pretty Things, John Martyn, Mylo.......
What a way to celebrate a traverse.

In reply to jim robertson: worth turning up for the bunnymen alone!

Seems like a damn good end of a week on Skye party to me. At the right time of year as well.

In reply to cruachan66:

Saw the Bunnymen last year and they were dire. Mcculloch obviously couldn't give a shit and spent most of the set moaning about the lights.

I think I must have been at the same show - poor indeed

Personally I can't think of a better music festival for the climber. Should be a blast and will round off my first traverse in just shy of twenty years.... come to think of it, I remember seeing John Martyn at what I think was the first Skye Music Festival back in '84. He was sharing the stage with Nazareth! Good to see that his choice in co-performers is still interesting.

In reply to jim robertson: At an Isle of Skye Fezzy I would rather see a line up like Capercaillie, runrig, Peat Bog fairies, Afro Celt etc...much more apt for that lovely Isle

Cheers

Take a little bit of your time to have a look at the full line-up. I would think that it should satisfy your obviously romantic tastes.

In reply to David Hooper:

Runrig!? <<shudders>> awful, shite, dreary bloody band that they are. There are sooo many better Scottish bands.

"awful, shite, dreary bloody band that they are"

but "were" too?
In reply to Anonymous:

Nope, they still are! They're playing in Drumnadrochit this Summer.

In reply to wcdave: I'm hoping to be at the Fest but not for the Scream. Love so many of thur records but on the 2 occasions I've seen them them live they were really disappointing. Years ago at a Glasgow Green Fest then last year at their own gig at SECC. Muddy sound and no atmosphere.
