A bit of a survivor and, I suspect, a tough cookie. I found her album Negative Capability to be rather gently heartbreaking.

Was aware of her in the 60s but (re)discovered her in the 80s with the fabulous Broken English (thanks to Andy). Saw her live at the Royal Northern College of Music. Negative Capability was a fitting sign off. A singular talent.

I read a few obituaries today and learned to my surprise that she had a successful career as an actor on stage and in film. And 22 albums - more than I though. A remarkable woman and artist. RIP.
