Poor chap has passed away at the age of 65. This article / interview from nearly 6 years ago was quite an eye-opener at the time and looking back at it, it's a small wonder that he reached 65.

I remember reading that his life had been pretty difficult after his initial fame. Sad, and I liked him on Who's Line is it Anyway?

What sad news.  He was absolutely brilliant in his heyday.

Yeah, sad.  I read that article when it came out, and I saw the interview he did a couple of years ago.

Steven Fry wrote that he had recently started working again, which makes this especially sad.

Very sad. He was one of those comedians I always thought was a bit 'other', always coming at things from a different angle. That interview maybe goes some way to explaining why.
