Harrowing and compelling. A social documentary series into the front line of news media, following L.A's 'stringers'. Rightly or wrongly (I suspect wrongly) there's an appetite for bad news in the world. Industrialised rubbernecking imo. Shot in the Dark follows a disparate group of journalists and chronicles the effect their work has upon their psyche. One guy puts down his camera at one stage to help the driver in a burning car which leads to him jacking in his trade and having a breakdown. Another thinks everything's a big joke. It's rare that a TV series can captivate me to such an extent and I felt compelled to share this, it's on Netflix. Viewer discretion is advised.
