Fantastic film, based on an even better book. Spotted last night its filmed around the peak, most recognisable locations were Cratcliffe and Robin hoods stride. No idea why I hadnt noticed this before!

In the scene where The Man in Black is fighting Fezzik, I swear you can see chalk handprints on some of the boulders...anyone else noticed this?

"I am not left handed either" is one of the best lines in any film, ever. Too many snakes on this ... plane, my ass.

See if you can spot when he's running from Robin hoods stride towards cratcliffe, and then end up at Robin Hoods stride, its great Im sure the scene before the fire swamp is near Mam Tor but not sure of the exact valley...

In reply to Richard:

No... its got to be 'Ill fight you to the pain'

or perhaps

'My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father. Prepare to die!'

In reply to Anni:

No the best line has to be simply : "As you wish"

In reply to soveda:

You're clearly a soppy romantic and not into the fighting.

"You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"

"Maweeege..." as uttered by Peter Cook as the Priest - I nearly died laughing....

Must dig it out and watch it again.

In reply to Anni: Oh dear i've missed the chance to spout most of the best lines. Though no one's done "BOO, Princess of putrid filth" yet, a line i've found useful on many occasions.

Montoya to the gate guard

Montoya "Where is the key to the gate?"
Guard "What key"
Montoya "Fezzik bash him"
Guard "Oh you mean this key"

When Buttercap is about to stab herself in the chest

Westley " There's a shortage of perfect breasts in the world, it would be a shame to ruin yours!" or words to that effect

In reply to Muz:

Yep, I think it's Cave Dale.

Oh, and if we're quoting lines from the film, I find I can make use of "get used to disappointment" quite often. And (as used in reference to "inconceivable") "I'm not sure you know the meaning of this word".

Oh well.
Jon.

Certainly looks like it to me, most noticeable when the man in black is on Fezzik's back being rammed against the boulders.
