I'm recently back from a four week break on the Costa Blanca - There was an earlier recommendation for EDI car rental in another car hire thread.
We used them and had a trouble free experience. The meet and drop off at the airport were straightforward. They don't place a block on your credit card, recommend excess insurance (rather than argue about it) and if there is an issue, you're dealing with English speakers.
Our car had a puncture at the start of week three, the inflation kit got us back home to the accommodation and a replacement car was brought out to Alcalali within 2hrs. Whilst they aren't the cheapest they are definitely worth considering. I'll use them again.
