Anyone been for new year and what’s it like.
been before at end of October. Cheap flights are out for new year so wondering what it like.

Generally yes, too cold. I have been once at NewYear when it was exceptionally mild, and we could still only climb for a few hours in the middle of the day in direct sunlight
T-Shirt weather if the sun is out. Pretty cold if it isn't but nice to climb in. Freezing at night. I spent 2 new year's recently there and it was ok.
Climbed there around the new years time several times. Perfect if the sun is out. Cold in the shade.
Webcam with temperature gauge here https://www.foto-webcam.eu/webcam/malcesine/2019/01/01/1740 goes back a few years too. I'd say too chilly, like UK winter.
