Renting a campervan in the French alps next week. Apart from a few days around Annecy we plan on travelling round as much as possible and staying in different places. Can anyone recommend some nice family friendly villages/towns that have got camping aires? Anywhere picturesque with a playground or little indoor swimming pool will do.

france-passion.com is a site, you have to purchase a guide with the latter but it gives interesting places to stop, usually small businesses and artisans, small vineyards etc.
