Trading in the normal climbing trip up to north Wales for the south and wondering if there’s a similar arrangement around there with bunkhouses? There’s so many options in north wales but seems like they aren’t quite so common in the south (Brecon beacons/Gower area). Anyone know of any or have recommendations?

Thanks,

Ollie

There are literally dozens of outdoor centres to book, but most cater for group bookings 10-50 type numbers, not small numbers booking individually.

We stayed in this one near Crickhowell for New Year.  Worked well as a base for us, straight out the back door and into the hills.  Has a very steep drive, would be brutal on a bike.  Or very, very fast, depending on which way you were going.

Gower accommodation is typically quite expensive and you're not going to get the £10 a night club hut round here.

There is Eastern Slade Barn
