I am heading to the Lakes this Thurs for a long weekend and am looking for classic trad routes to climb in the grade range up to VS. Can anyone recommend any?
Also, I have no guidebook. Can anyone please recommend a good one for the Lakes? - (baring in mind I am unlikely to trouble anything beyond HVS)
The best guidebook is easy, its the FRCC "Lake District Rock" guide. The best route choice is going to deppend on the weather and where you are located
In reply to Mark Wyndham Brightwell: Lakes Rock is a good guidebook got it myself a few weeks back checked a lot of the climbs on the ukc logbook section and they were all worth a star or 3.
