Hadn't realised the Charpoua Hut was currently closed and is being rebuilt for a planned reopening later in summer 2023, until I came across this film from Patagonia:

My last visit was 30 years, but it's a pretty amazing place and I remember it fondly (although inevitably there was a lot more glacier above the hut back then).

Oh no!  But what a lovely place. I’ve been following the gardienne on her FB page and it’s just great to see such affection for a lovely unique refuge.
