Think there's a shop coming to 'The Moor'. Some closed down store, with a patagonia banner now outside..

Odd, I've not been there for ages and thought they were about to /already had flattened the moor. Or am i really behind the times? probably.

In reply to gethin_allen:

Well I could be wrong. I've not lived in sheffield long. But I'v e not heard anything about flattening the moor. Although they really should. It's not nice.

In reply to Tamati:

If it's the one across from the old Sugg Sports (between top of The Moor and the Peace Gardens - close to Britania Building Society) then don't get too excited - the banner has been there well over a year and nothing has ever materialised.

In reply to Axel Smeets:
And has no-one noticed that next door to the closed shop with the banner is a climbing shop - Naked Ape - which sells patagonia stuff.

I think there might be a connection there..............

In reply to Chris the Tall: There's a climbing shop on the moor??

How could I have missed this?

In reply to Chris the Tall:

That explains everything

In reply to Tamati:
To be accurate it's on Pinstone Street - the non-pedestrianised continuation of the Moor

Mostly clothing, plus a few guidebooks and videos, but not much hardware

In reply to Tamati:
so not really the moor, but still I'm quite sure that they will be flattening the area you're talking about, including john lewis' the old fire station and the etire block containing the naked ape shop. It's probably being help up by current recession.

In reply to Tamati:The Moor could be nicer i agree,i think perhaps what make's it a bit grim is that the low budget shops attract people who aren't too well off,and they generally don't look very happy, which is what can give the area it's sometimes rather gloomy air. I don't quite like the snobbish people on here who sometimes talk about the type of people you find there (not that i remember thier names),i think they're probably just not too happy,if it was full of happier people maybe the mood would lift a little bit. But i guess this is getting off topic a bit.

Nice to have somewhere selling Patagonia gear in the centre of Sheffield.

Tim
