Just wondering if anyone solved the mystery of whether this boot is a B3 or B2 boot, I climbed Scottish Grade 3 in the last season, with G12's with the plastic front bit on. I'm thinking of getting BD Cyborgs, the boots have a molded front and back park on the sole to take a fully automatic crampon, but whether they'll ping off as I climb is another thing.

There the Black ones with a carbon fibre effect stiching on the tounge and Front from the 06/07 season.

Are these the ones TK Maxx were knocking out for about £60 a year or so ago?
In reply to Shropshire Blue: Thats the one, I picked them up in an odd size to match my odd feet so I couldn't have done better.

they're these, http://cat0607.skisrossignol.com/CN_prod_sof_fw_mn_foot.html

In reply to NorthenClimber:

I'd say they are probably B2ish.

I can flex mine a bit with my hands, and they're good for scrambling, without feeling clumpy like my B3s (SM experts and Rachle things)

I did email Rossignols uk distributor last year, but he seemed more concerned about where I got them from than helping me figure out how stiff they are.
In reply to Dan_S: I've seen comments that the walk better than most B3's as there curved, and I was quite happy front pointing on steep ice in them, just concerned if i get fully automatic crampons they'll pop off. you used yours with crampons???

In reply to NorthenClimber:

I've used them with G12s in anger on IIs and IIIs without to much of a problem, and I agree that the roll of them is nice on the walk ins and outs, but the fit on my terminators is very poor probably down to the curved sole, and there was some movement between the crampon and the boot, so I didn't take them out together.
In reply to Dan_S: were the g12's automatics or with the plastic bail?
