Thanks in advance for any help.

Heading to the Alps in a few weeks and Im replacing my older heavy bag. I was looking at an ME Firelite XL. 800g or so and pretty warm for the weight. I had the pleasure of using one last year before they hit the shops and it was brilliant. Bit of a heavy price tag so just thought I'd ask for some recommendations on here about which sleeping bags you've used that do a good job before I take the plunge and spend the cash!

I have a Cumulus bag from before they changed their name, the Prime 700 which has served me well for Scottish winter camping but I'm also in the market for something lighter for the Alps.

Edit: I haven't used PHD bags but they are very highly regarded.

Not sure why I didn't go to the PHD site, headed there now to check those out.

Never heard of criterion, but am having a look at the range now!
