Looking for recommendations on some nice looking, slim fit hiking or climbing trousers. Particularly ones that look nice wearing around towns, to meals etc. as well as being good from a performance point of view. Basically a pair which can be used for everything when I got on holiday, so I can keep my packing as lightweight as possible.
I've got a pair of Rab Torque pants which are a great fit, but look a bit too technical for around-town wear.
I've also got some Mountain Hardwear AP pants which look great - really good fit and style - but they don't have enough flex around the crotch to be any good for climbing.
Also got some Craghoppers and Quechua ones which are neither great looking or great performance.
I'm typically a 28 or 29 waist (30 in some brands) and a short leg (although I can get them adjusted) so it can be hard finding the right size in a lot of brands.
