I have experience of a similar 1 pole tent which was OK in high winds, just noisy as there was no where to put the pegs, so it was tied out to a tree and it stayed up. I also have experienced other Vango tents in high winds, my 3 man was still standing in the morning, when others weren't. Also my ridiculous bungalow party tent (big enough to park a car in) is a Vango and that stayed up during stormy weather. The tension band system is good, just don't over tighten it or you will damage the pole. Pitch the tent well, peg and buy it properly and it will be great. I'm a big fan of Vango, they colour code the pole sleeves, and they make things well. I am sure it will be fine.
