With beautiful views throughout, this is a walk to enjoy all year round and in all conditions. Beginning beyond the village of Llanbedr, the route follows the river into the valley below the Waun Fach horseshoe, before taking a less well-trodden route up through woodland and disused quarries up onto Pen-Twyn-Glas at 646m and along the breezy ridge to Mynydd Llysiau at 663m. The final stretch is a relaxing amble beside the river, perfect for four-pawed friends.

10.56 miles, 17 km, 562m ascent, 3:30 – 5 hours. Crickhowell
