/ Four Days In The Lake District
WHen the weather is kind then there is little to beat wild camping. I had four great days last weekend in the Lake District..

I'd go as far as saying nothing beats wild camping
Anyway, glad you had a cracking time and thanks for sharing
Nice write up, sounds like a great few days. All of those hills and valleys are on my door step, makes you realise what you sometimes take for granted.
I guess I am sometimes guilty of taking my own hills (Southwest Ireland) for granted sometimes. When the weather is good there are few places better to be fair. One thing that struck me about the Lakes this time is really how compact an area it is. Undeniably beautiful but very busy though
There are quieter parts to the Lakes but anywhere close to the honeypots of Keswick, Ambleside, Grasmere or Glenridding and you'll be surrounding by folk - I think you strayed into and through the catchments for at least 3 of these.
