Has anyone dealt with Amiqus and Truelayer with regard to house purchase on line banking anti money laundering checks?

Trustworthy or dubious?

Has tbis come via the solicitors acting for the seller?

In reply to neilh:

It's pretty standard now.

In reply to neilh:

No, my solicitor to confirm where funds came from.

In reply to Mike-W-99:

Is it? Ok, does that make it safe and secure or does it open up on-line backing to possible fraudulent activity….that’s what my suspicious mind thinks anyway!

In reply to mike reed:

Its standard these days if solicitors involved.

AML checks for house purchases have been a requirement for some years. I can't comment on either Amiqus or Truelayer, but the checks are a legal requirement.

Amiqus we're who our solicitor used 4 years back when we were selling and also when we did our Wills and POA. The solicitor each time told us we'd be contacted so didn't get a surprise when the email arrived asking for scans of passports etc.
