What's your best cure?
Hair of the dog is not an option...

Big Mac meal from the nearest McDonalds .. go large!

In reply to Nao:

It depends on the symptons. If you've got a bad head take paracetmol as they are less likely to upset your stomach. If you've got acid indigestion take an antacid.
Drink lots of water and try to eat something to up your blood sugar level. Bananas are quite good.
You must know there is no cure only prevention.

Aside from the 2 obvious ones:
1. phone in sick and spend the day watching Tricia
2. drink less.... (shudder..I can't believe I actually said that)

Water, fruit and a cup of tea are about your only options

Best of luck..
In reply to Nao:

Loads of orange juice and a Huuuuge fryup. Always works for me. At least if your sick later you've got something to bring up!

Probably the latter!

No really, it was terribly innocent - girls' night out. The problem was we went to some swanky bar and didn't eat dinner. Schoolgirl error!
In reply to Nao: Eat something on way home on the nght.

When you get in drink about a pint or more of water then go to bed.

Viola no hangover. I've used this method for eyars and never ever gethangover. Hangover is just dehydration and hunger if you havnt any food inside you.

Anthony

its not rocket science drink water!!
Nao 13 Jan 2006
In reply to Hartlepool Anthony:
I went to the cafeteria and got beans on toast and hash browns. The cute guy there (think he was gay, sadly) assured me that it would soak up the alcohol.

I drank a ton of juice and water this morning and have a freshly squeezed orange juice on my desk, so hopefully that should sort it.

No going out tonight - it may be a tv marathon.

Don't think you get Irn Bru if you're not in Scotland! It's dreadful anyway... I remember my student days of vodka and Irn Bru... urgh...
 saggers 13 Jan 2006
In reply to Nao:

Irn Bru is the best hangover cure ever

or black coffee and a greasy fry up

In reply to saggers: Irn Bru and a greasy fry up is the way to go. Cures most evils!

Nao: I've never had any problem getting Irn Bru from supermarkets and some newsagents in England. I get it regularaly in Leicester and I think I managed to get some in Waymouth as well.

In reply to Allister Clark:
I have never tried coke, or any kind of cola. I am not convinced that now would be the time to do it.

I have a strawberry and raspberry smoothie... and a chicken and bacon sub. I am sure meat is the way to go...

In reply to Nao: i see the truth in meat!

 Jason Kirk 13 Jan 2006
In reply to Nao:

Nao 13 Jan 2006

Sorry, can't let this one pass.
Why exactly would it be sad that he is gay, given that (at the last count) you "had" a "bloke"?
Do elaborate on this. Did you have something in mind for him?
And no, I am not picking on it out just cos it's you.

Oh, Ibuprofen is good for the headache, its anti-inflammatory abilities reduce the brain swell or whatever it is. Plenty of oranges too. Real oranges are a lot better than orange juice, for some reason.
