He strikes me as being impossible to work with as almost as big a prat as me, in terms of outspokeness.

Yet he makes money out of being a prat and I dont- yet!

I think it is hard to judge without having actually got to know either of them. Top Gear is no longer a car magazine programme but a highly staged pantomime loosely based around cars with actors Clarkson, Hammond and May taking contrasting roles.

Moyles likes to portray himself as a womanising, larger drinking lad, but you never read about him womanising or getting pished.

Both are actors who in reality are probably just as dull and boring as the rest of us.

(Raising head above parapet), I thought he did an extremely good job dramatising the human story behind the raid of the French dry dock in St Nazairre (sp?) on TV the other night.

I was transfixed and for boobless output, thats an impressive feat.

he certainly talks about getting drunk a lot and i have evidence to prove this as i saw him at my local nightclub about 8 yrs ago proper lashed up to the point of falling over and not being able to get up. He syas he doesn't really go to celebrity bars etc which is maybe why it doesn't get reported a la Prince Harry.

As far as womanising goes he says he fancies a lot of women but seems to have 1 girlfriend for a quite a long while and takes the piss out of himself for being rubbish with women.

I quite like him. What does he say that gets people so wound up ? Most people just say that they hate him without saying why.

I have to say I agree with you, but just because you say him sh1t faced in a nightclub once doesn't mean he is on the lash 24/7. With these celebrety types, how they portray themselves is everything even if it isn't a true reflection of their real persona.

Clarkson is very good at what he does and is in real life, probably just as normal as everyone on this forum.
