Yes, No, maybe a little bit? Your thoughts on the subject folks?

Personnaly i only ever wear a coral neck band & even at that it's not a common thing for me. It doesn't feel right not even a watch.

In reply to Frank4short:

I don't wear any atm.

But I used to have a few very nice silver rings bought for me by former g/fs. Until I started climbing; and then they didn't fit any more.

In reply to Frank4short:

I am partial to a bit, my engagement (Silver) and wedding (yellow gold with a hammered white gold centre strip) rings for a start.

I wear a hand crafted silver necklace and bracelet, not matching, but complementary, which cost more than the entire contents of the local HSamuels, so I can be a bit of a snob; and I also had my ears re-pierced a year or so back, so am collecting a few earings.

Not overly keen on yellow gold.

In reply to Frank4short: Isn't it a bad sign if a man doesn't wear a watch? I feel a bit naked and lost without one.

I think its a good sign not wearing a watch!

Ive got a nice fossil watch someone bought me.....worn it 5 times.....

i like the freedom of not constantly having a reminder on my wrist of how late i am for everything or how soon i have to do something that im not looking forward too....

strangely....im rarely late for anything..

In reply to LurkingPaul:

do you have a mobile phone on you all the time?

i have the theory its mobile phones that cause people to be late.
I know a lot of people who have gotten into the habbit of not carying about beeing on time because they can just send a txt saying they are later.

In reply to Frank4short: A watch. Period!
In reply to Frank4short:

I think it's up to the bloke really. I'm not that keen on jewellery personally, especially "real" stuff because it's such a waste of money and I'd only lose it anyway. I'd also worry that it might make me an obvious mugging target. But ultimately it's up to the individual. The only thing I don't like is when people (male or female) wear expensive jewellery to be ostentatious. That would make me want to avoid them.

In reply to Frank4short:

Quite often when I go to crags, I have to wear a harness to allow me to carry the weight of all those multi-coloured decorative bits of shiny metal jewellery that I wear. I decorate lines in rockfaces with them, too, but someone almost inevitably follows me up the route and takes them out again...

Isnt Mr T. Actually Gay...?
In reply to estivator:

I suppose wearing that lot would be a good way of weight training. A bit like wearing your rack and a rucksack full of sand around the house whilst doing the chores.

Maybe, but would you ask him?
 ickleiz 03 Oct 2005
In reply to Frank4short: Not keen on too much jewellery on men. Especially not ear rings like the footballers and cricketers seem to be wearing!
LurkingPaul 03 Oct 2005
In reply to estivator & ickleiz:

thank god...i was getting the impression that peeopl were thinking those huge diamond ear-rings that premiership footballers are wereing were cool....
