According to accountant turned Oxford University Theologian Dr Richard Turnbull ( I mention the accountant bit just to show he must have some aptitude with numbers), 95% of Britons are going to Hell.

I have thought about this before because if Christ is essential to heavenly admittance it made me wonder just how many people were in Hell? By this estimate it would make it approximately 95 billion in Hell and 5 billion in Heaven.

I seem to remember an episode of Bless Me, Father with Arthur Lowe where after much discusssion they concluded that Hell did exist but no-one was there because God was all forgiving.

Unsurprisingly perhaps the guy is currently under investigation for bullying and intimidation.

you see, the problem with god being all forgiving, is that heaven gets abit crowded. Its just not fair on those who have tried to live decent lives if everyone gets let in in the end!

If you believe in Heaven and Hell ,then you believe in the God of the Old Testament, and he was anything but benevolent and forgiving.

A bit like the gods of Asgard, and Olympus, and the Titans in fact...

so people who beleive in Jesus and the Holey trinity whatnot dont beleive in Heaven and Hell.
every other religion that has a heaven and hell also sends people who aren't in their religion to hell so assuming you can't be in more than one religion then pretty much everyone is going to hell anyway.
still not to worry, there must be some interesting characters there.
