Sorry if this has been posted before, but this is great...

Some very dramatic sound effects.

Excellent stuff!

Harris: "Oh Man!... It's a frightening place!"

Barber: "Come on... Starting to rain you know?"

Harris: "But I want a runner!"

The melodrama is fantastic - it's a shame it's such a short piece, but is excellent.

"It is considered unsportsmanlike to go out climbing without having drunk vast amounts of beer beforehand."

another classic i've just discovered is Mike Hoover's "Solo":

You found some good stuff there from long ago with Al Harris and Henry Barber, and the next one with Henry and Pete Livesey trying to outsmart each other.

Al died years ago, was looking for the year and found a wealth of stuff on some of these threads, Check them out, the supertopo ones on page 2 may have more good vits not listed on that youtube one;

Brilliant video. Thanks for posting it.

Al Harris seems remarkably restrained from what I remember of him! Very evocative of the 1970s though and the Troll waist belt and EBs took me back. I've done Dream over 10 times since 1975 and modern protection makes it a much less stressful lead these days.

I was also at Tremadog, climbing Tantalus, when "Sh*t Hot Henry" climbed the crux of Tensor free for the first time ever. It was impressive to watch to say the least. Al Harris was there that day too, but was in a far more 'excitable' frame of mind.

Yeah, spotted that. I actually quite like the Yankee Doodle spin to it. Kind of adds to the quaintness.
