In reply to Al Evans:

From memory there was an article in yesterday's Daily Torygraph about a 25 year old Briton leaving his guide to solo the third highest peak in S.America and not returning.

In reply to alaneatwork: It was the torygraph, wonder who it was?

(PS. - Not my paper of choice, doesn't seem to have been widely reported elsewhere though.)

A condensation of the article in yesterday's Torygraph:

Neil Tucker (age 25) from Landkey, Devon failed to return to his tent after a solo attempt on Pissis (22,241ft) on 8 Mar - and did not make a rendezvous he'd arranged with his 'guide' a week later.

Sounds bad, doesn't it
