After a decent size (say 30cm square) wall calendar for 2022.

BMC have a very small collection - all of Scotland it seems.

Rucksack Club have a charity one for Climbers against Cancer, which looks good but doesn't list a size.

Any reccos?

The CAC charity calendar has just arrived and it looks great. It's A4 in size, fyi.

In reply to Moacs:

Hiya - it's A4 closed and opens up to A3 hanging. Each month features an A4 image plus three smaller thumbnails (all action shots taken from the same month last year) and a calendar grid with space to write your important dates

The most important "vital statistic" is that EVERY PENNY of the purchase price will go to support Climbers Against Cancer to fund research around the world!

Buy it here:

https://climb-europe.com/rockclimbingshop/rucksack-club-2022-calendar.html

Or here:

https://www.climbersagainstcancer.org/shop/rucksack-club-cac-calendar/

Or pick one up at Blockhause, The Climbing Works, Awesome Walls or Parthian Climbing Centres.

Although I can't find a direct link on the website, I think Adrian at ATC does a Skye calendar. His images are pretty spectacular: https://allthingscuillin.co.uk

Nice one Moacs - that's another tenner winging it's way to CAC to fund Cancer Research - the "Totaliser" (for those who remember Blue Peter!) is around £2,000 already, with 30 shopping days before Xmas - hopefully we can hit £5k!!!

Thanks for the support! Cheers, Dom

If you haven't already ordered your copy [and if not, why not... ]  here's another chance to win one...

Here's the featured image for March (taken the year before on a bright but breezy post-lockdown outing). Can you name the crag? ... and in the event of a tie-breaker, the route?

Cheers, Dom

In reply to dominic o:

We have sold most of the ones that we got off you (2 left) so will probably order more from you on Monday.

Cheers

No takers yet for this week's calendar comp... Last chance to name the crag featured in the March shot and I'll post the answer on Saturday along with another new photo - next time is a winter shot, just in time for the cold snap...

Meanwhile, if you can't wait, just click here to get your copy: https://climb-europe.com/rockclimbingshop/rucksack-club-2022-calendar.html

Yes. Do I win?

In reply to dominic o:

I know the buttress but someone less obsessive deserves to win.

We alway buy CAC stuff, and they were my favourite stand at Kendal again for the staff attitude.

In reply to Doghouse:

Haha - go ahead - I plan to post a new photo this afternoon. Looks like you're in a race against time with Offwidth... or bluffing

Go for it - there's a place for obsessives

Ditto

Here's the main picture from January (a bit of poetic licence with dates given Covid). Free calendar if you can identify the crag (bonus points for the route).

Another wintery shot - this time it's the main photo from February. A free copy of https://www.climbersagainstcancer.org/shop/rucksack-club-cac-calendar/ for someone randomly selected on Christmas Eve who's correctly identified the crag - tie-breaker for the route.

Yes indeed - a new twist to UKC's most frequent winter post: "Is it in?" It was "in" in February this year, and it's "in" the CAC charity calendar.

... and if you PM me with your address I'll get one "in" the post to you.

For everyone else, I'll post a final competition picture on Christmas Eve, and of course you can still get your copy at https://www.climbersagainstcancer.org/shop/rucksack-club-cac-calendar/

Thanks Offwidth I might try to be more organised next year and do a dozen weekly posts as a slow-burn advent calendar!

Have a good 'un.

Here's a last chance to win a free calendar - one of the supplementary shots from April and a trickier finale to the competition.

Meanwhile, the fundraising "totaliser" to support Climbers Against Cancer has broken through the £3,000 barrier, so it's timely to thank all of you who have "donated a tenner and got a free calendar as a thank you" - THANKS!

Also, a big shout out to Climb-Europe who have stocked and distributed the calendar for absolutely no cost https://climb-europe.com/rockclimbingshop/rucksack-club-2022-calendar.html

... and to Awesome Walls, Parthian Climbing Centres, The Works and BlocHaus for displaying them. You can still pick up your copy at all of the above, or go to the CAC Shop. https://www.climbersagainstcancer.org/shop/rucksack-club-cac-calendar/

Also a big thank you to UKC for publicising the calendar in a premium post and tolerating this blatant thread hijack

Finally, a big thank you to The Rucksack Club who's members have provided the 50 action shots from the last 12 months as well as funding the production and printing costs so that EVERY PENNY goes to support CAC in funding cancer research. https://rucksackclub.org/findyouradventure/

Happy Christmas UKCers and wishing you a year of healthy fun and adventures in 2022!

Cheers, Dom
