Dew and damp rock?

I'm trying to find out how to predict whether there will be dew on the rock early morning. I'm planning on doing some evening bouldering as well and it would be nice to know if it was going to be dry or damp before I set off.
Is it as simple as knowing the dew point and when the temp reaches that dew forms? I know thats the case with the ground where there's soil / grass but what happens with the rock?
Thanks

In reply to Reeges:

Most rocks act as a heat resevoir. They warm up more slowly than the heat around then and cool down more slowly. Solar gain, wind and air humidity will all be factors. I doubt there will be any way to predict reliably without knowledge of the area/rock/face

In reply to neilinut: Bosigran, and most Cornish granite is always very damp and 'soapy' in the morning, as is Lundy, always used to make me laugh how people went out for dawn starts while we just had lie-ins and strolled up about 10am when all the abseil ropes had already been put in Parts of Portland are similar.

Thanks, so I guess it'll be a bit of trial and error or find someone with some local knowledge. I do 90% of my climbing on Dartmoor and Chudleigh, so if anyone's local to these parts and have any knowledge on dew....
