Hi, I'm off to the Teton range in September, and wondered if anyone knows of a good guide book that covers the classic routes? Ideally something relatively portable. Thanks!

I used this one when I was there. It's not full of artistic colour photo topos but it's perfectly usable if you can use US style route topos (which I think are actually more useful on big multi pitch routes than photos anyway).

It's A5 format (like all US guidebooks) but quite thin and lightweight.

It's a bit pricey on Amazon but a quick google brings up much cheaper copies like this:

That's the one I used, but it's not at all recent. It was published in 1994. We used it in 1996 I think and it was pretty good then.  The cheaper version on Amazon has a different cover (although the photo appears - in B&W - inside the 1994 edition so I suspect it may be an even older edition).

If the OP can't find anything more recent I'd be happy to lend mine for the postage cost, but I would want it back afterwards. Just message me if you're interested in that arrangement.

This seems like the obvious choice, I think? First result on google, 2019 2nd edition, reliable US guide book publisher, reasonably priced for a guide book, etc. - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Climbs-Grand-Teton-National/dp/1493039377/ref...

And the same author (Rossiter) as my 1994 guide above - so he should know his stuff by now!

The 1994 guide had a good mix of high mountain routes and lower level (but not short) routes in the canyons. We found that really useful. Might be worth checking that the 2019 "Best Climbs" guide also covers both.

Falcon Guide - Best Climbs Grand Teton NP Rossiter 2012 is good.

There's also Teton Rock climbs by Aaron Gams 2012 and The Mountaineers - A climbers Guide to the Teton Range. I have all three, email me if you wish.

Accommodation can be expensive, we stayed at https://americanalpineclub.org/grand-teton-climbers-ranch.

You need to get a NP permit to climb eg Grand Teton and carry bear spray.

Its all works fine but you need to be organised.
