Dear fellow climbers,

Newcastle University climbing club will be running two trips to Bowden Doors on the 23rd and 24th September. There will be a group of 23 of us (14 freshers) at the crag. Just a heads up that it will be more busy than usual. We will try our best to keep out of everyones way. We will be doing a mixture of bouldering and trad. Regarding the trad, we will not be set up top-ropes as this can damage the rock. Instead we will be leading routes and have one second. We are following the BMC club guidelines very closely and all the new climbers will be briefed on etiquette/crag safety.

The weather is looking poor on Sunday and we may end up climbing indoors at Sunderland wall instead. Under no circumstances will we be climbing on damp/wet rock.

Once again very sorry for any inconveniences caused and I hope we don't disrupt anyone's plans for the weekend. Have a good weekend climbing!
