To keep UKC in line with the rising standards of modern climbing I think its time we increase the grade threshold for the Recent Top Ascents. It's a pretty obvious boundary (for the eurocentric of us) to draw this line at 8A for Bouldering and 8a for Sport Climbing. As someone fairly out of touch with trad standards I'd be open to ideas of where to draw that line. 

I don't particularly have a strong opinion on where the grade boundaries should be set but I do think the addition of an optional "UK Only" filter would be great. Regional filtering would be brilliant but that might be a bit difficult to organise.

Is it not just a list of X many of the highest graded logged ascents? So if only vdiffs were logged that week they'd be the top ascents?

They are currently set as: 

Trad - E5

Sport - 7c

Boulder- 7c

Winter - VII

If we were to have additional columns recent new ascents would be a good one, but I understand this would be hard to moderate

If you sort the current lists by grade, can’t you just look down the list as far as interests you?

At the current cutoffs, the lists don’t appear to be excessively long.

The Trad grade of E5 is out of sync with 7c for sport and 7C for bouldering. 

imo for a well rounded climber an E5 O/S is around the same "achievement" as f7c redpoint.  Could debate this endlessly but that seems about right to me. 

E5 RP, G/U or whatever is significantly easier. 

Could we draw the line at E5 O/S, E6 for any other style? Or just bump it to E6 if its not possible to split by style. 

I also agree it would be good to have an option to filter out all but the UK.
