If you haven't already........ worth a watch. I had the pleasure of meeting Warren Harding (with his friend Mary-Lou Long) in Bishop before he snuffed it, it was better than meeting royalty.

Even Valley christian Royal Robbins was impressed on the second ascent

Excellent. Did I hear correctly that his partner was Dean Caldwell, is he related to Tommy?

Did you see the film in this year's BMFF? Excellent account of the history.

Brilliant.

I thought his "Reflections of a broken-down climber", apart from being the best title imaginable for a climbing memoir, was quite a book. A tongue in cheek climbing manual, a sidelong account of the Dawn Wall and a puerile commentary on the valley climbers of the day all rolled into one!

Just out of interest I have a first edition copy of Downward Bound that belonged to Mary Lou Long and was given to her by Warren Harding.
