Hi,

Anybody know where you can buy cheapish magnetic ski racks in the Chamonix Valley, Passy or Sallanches?

At the same time any recommendations / brands to be avoided would be great

Thank you

Feu Vert are the french 'halfords', but probably cheaper for most things.

Carrefour in Sallanches might be the cheapest option.

I have no experience about the brands because I wouldn't put anything like that close to our cars. But many French drivers disagree

They work. I carried 2 skis and 2 boards from Leeds to Cham in March last year and had no problems. The biggest problem was the three girls in the car with me who insisted on listening to the Carpenters Cd on repeat

Most of the Finnish males consider their cars as objects next to God(because of the high purchase taxes) and none of us would attach anything to our cars with magnets Scratches, you know...

Hmm, it did take a little while to clean off the marks.

It took a lot longer to get "Rainy Days and Mondays" out of my head

Surely its better than waiting for the summer for the ice to melt that has been deposited in your car from the skis you have been carrying in the car all winter?

We are living in Finland and carrying our skis to different locations very often so we use these:

If you want save some money then this is what you'll get:

And this as a last option:

Or just a waterproof ski bag like this:
