I used to suffer from split/dry cuticles and have had the odd flapper so now I wash/wet wipe my hands after I have finished climbing, using a sensitive skin type soap/wipe.
I then apply a bit of 'Climb On' to make sure they don't dry out.
I file down any skin that's too thick and crusty with a nail file in the evenings.
Every night before I go to sleep, I put on a liberal layer of Burts Bees hand cream.
If I looked after my face like I do my hands, I'd look ten years younger!
Ps I've also heard that some chalks are more drying on hands than others. I have very sweaty pores and have found Metolius Super chalk is best for me. But I've been told that this is because they add an extra drying agent. If your hands are prone to drying Moon Chalk does have the extra agent.
