Stumbled across this
http://www.tlr-cameras.com/British/index.html

I am heartened to see that there was a Welsh camera called the Pixie Flex Gnome, that apparently didn't have an adjustable focus (guess you just had to get within range? Don't laugh, I have custody of a high-end modern industrial lens, heavy-built and fast with a stepless iris, that cost over £1000 and that also doesn't actually have an adjustable focus!)

The Pixie Flex Gnome does look like a bit of an apology though!
In reply to Blue Straggler:

Sorry it's a Gnome Pixie-Flex (which sounds like some inter-small-people sex contortion)

In reply to Blue Straggler: Gnome made all sorts of photo gear, including enlargers and meters.

Yeah, I found those when I was looking for a manual for the Microcord

Looks, erm, interesting...good name though!

In reply to Blue Straggler: Its the 'Morris Minor' of Brit cameras, as the Rollie is the Audi of German. The gnome enlargers were really just a tincan and a lightbulb (awful) but they got a lot of beginners started on B+W!
