What length rope is best/standard to use at Gorges Du Tarn? Will a 60m suffice?
"Whilst it is famed for its massive single pitches, with some being as long as 70 metres, it's certainly not all like that! Although most are fairly long by British standards (ie 20 metres at least.)" - UKC article -

Also how many quick draws shall we take? And is it worth taking the trad rack and helmets (due to weight on plane issue!)?
Thanks John
In reply to j_duds: You won't need a rack or a helmet.

Length of routes depends very much on what grade you climb, as many of the longest routes are extensions of other routes, generally 7c+ and above..... and plus if youa re intending on trying any of these, you can always lower off in two. I'd suggest a 70m is ideal, but a 60m would suffice

In reply to north country boy:
ok, thinking of looking at low to mid 7s, so hopefully a 60 m will be ok then.

Do the local guide books have routes lengths in them?
In reply to j_duds: I believe so, haven't got mine to hand but i'm pretty sure they do.
