[Max Biden at Brandy Crag, 3 kb]Next weekend is the third Lakes Festival of Climbing, starting on Friday, June 25 at 4:00pm.


Location is the Duddon Valley in the Lake District.


Camp all weekend at Turner Hall farm, meet up at Newfield Inn pub. Sunshine guaranteed. Free bacon butties, prizes from Marmot, mountain crags, valley crags and awesome bouldering all nearby.


Organised by the BMC Lakes team and Martin Kocsis the BMC Volunteers' Officer.

Self-rescue workshops are being held on Saturday morning by experienced and qualified instructors. A donation (suggested £10 or more) to Mountain Rescue.

Pub quiz on Friday night at the Newfield Inn, and a raffle on Saturday night. Thanks to Marmot and the BMC for their support for the weekend.

And a special festival of climbing beer - 'After the Floods'
