On Saturday 30th April 2011 The Climbing Hangar in Liverpool will be holding it’s first Best in the West Competition, with a stonking load of prizes up for grabs, including cash prizes and lots of climbing goodies as well (and you don’t have to win the competition to win all the prizes either)!
The competition will consist of 35 problems, all ranging from V-Easy to V-Super Tough Titanium Nails; so whatever your level you can take part! You will score points dependent on the number of attempts it takes you to complete a problem.
There will be four categories; Women, Men, Youth (U16) Girls, Youth (U16) Boys and the top 5 scoring climbers from each will go through to the final. The final will consist of 5 problems and will be completed by 5mins on 5 mins off format.
Here at The Climbing Hangar we feel everyone should have a chance, so not only is there cash prizes for the overall winners, there are climbing goodies up for grabs for anyone who enters a score card via a raffle.
The cash prize purse is £2000 with £500 for both male and female first place and over £1500 worth of prizes awarded by a raffle draw of all comp entry forms.
