We have a couple of raised beds in a corner of our garden.These are surrounded by bark/wood chip type thingies. However in high winds these tend to get blown about, leaving bare patches of the polymer membrane underneath it.
Has the collective wisdom of UKC any solutions?

Another '+1', with the suggestion that slate is preferable to gravel. It is more expensive, but tends to stay put, limits weeds growing through it, and the local cats won't decide it makes an excellent litter tray.
