In reply to Infinite Granite: Made a rope mat recently. It's like knot tying meets the rubics cube. Make sure that you have a bottle of wine handy.

You make a hammock out of it too. There's a number of webpages on it.
It's usually just a rope net you lie in. You'll probably want some kind of "shuttle" to keep the extra wound around for the more initial passing-through.
In reply to Infinite Granite: If anyone has any old rope they don't need I'd love it for my sons Scout troop. Will not be used for any climbing type purposes and a donation to MRT would be made. I'm in Huddersfield and would collect within reason.
