Birthday Bash Competition at the Quay Climbing Centre - Saturday 14th September
with special guest ANDY KIRKPATRICK, joining us in the evening
Join us on the 14th for a day of events to celebrate our 2nd birthday. With a great sponsor line up including Core Holds, Cotswold Outdoor, DMM, Entre-Prises UK, La Sportiva, Lyon, Petzl, Taunton Leisure and Wild Country, there will be plenty of fabulous prizes on offer for our Boulder, Lead and Under 14s competitions.
Wild Country will be bringing along the Wide Boyz Crack for you to test your might on, Red Chilli Boot Demos will be running all day, we'll put a slack line up for some added fun and DMM will be around with lots of gadgets for you to break! We'll be running collections for Climbers Against Cancer as well as a raffle to raise money for the charity.
Chef Paul will be cooking up a feast of a hog roast and in the evening we'll be running a bar.
Special Guest, Andy Kirkpatrick
We're really pleased to announce that the legendary Andy Kirkpatrick will be joining us in the evening and entertaining us with his stories. His talk 'Inappropriate Climbing: High Adventures on the Troll Wall, El Cap and the North Face of the Eiger' promises to be amusing and educating in equal measure. The talk begins at 8pm and is free - although we do ask that you reserve your ticket in advance as it promises to be a busy evening.
Afterwards we'll have a DJ and music into the night...

10am: Under 14's Top Rope/Boulder registration - male/female categories
10.30am: Under 14's Comp begins
1pm: Lead Comp registration - open male/female categories
1.30pm: Lead Comp begins - qualifying rounds in the early afternoon
4pm: Boulder Comp final begins
5.30pm: Under 14's prize giving
6pm: Lead Comp final begins
7pm: Bar opens
8pm: Andy Kirkpatrick event
