It reminds me a lot of my youth - just head on up the hill - following the line that a sheep would take if it fell off.... or something like that

Also of interest perhaps is that at least 2 of the gorges shown in the photos (and others mentioned in the text) have been descended in spate conditions by white water kayak, the first descents dating back to the eighties/ early nineties. All class 5 and 6 stuff obviously. I've even done one of them! 8-O
