Hmm dont think the SA guy will garner much sympathy to be honest. And as to the question of supporting the widows and families, what about the Buddhist community? I dunno about anyone else but when i was in Kathmandu I was shocked at just how affluent the Tibetan community seemed...monasteries springing up like mushrooms, resplendent with huge gold leaf Buddhas, the ubiquitous donation box stuffed with dollars at the front...it left a rather bitter taste in my mouth. Will they be helping the Sherpas do you think?
