Does anybody have reliable data on how much scotch you have to mix into melted snow to prevent refreezing at peak altitude temperatures of, say, -7°C? Asking for a friend...

Dunno but it could be an interesting experimental task. Start with 100% whisky and fairly soon staying in by the fire will seem a better option

About 20% alchohol in a water alchohol mix, freezes at minus 9.
