I've been commuting on a Vitus Vee 1, made by chain reaction cycles, and fairly bombproof so far (2 years of daily commuting in London and Manchester). Taken it on some easy mountain bike trails and it's been fine. Simple, but all of the parts are decent, whereas that Go outdoors bike probably has cheap crap suspension and gears which will fall apart. They do a 29 inch wheel version too, which might be worth looking at.

At that price point I think I be more comfortable buying from Decathlon...

Just a gut feeling from glancing at Go outdoors bikes in store.
I've not looked closely at the model you are looking at.
