I can empathise with the owl...... a bit like the Cairngorm plateau in a stiff breeze...... looks like nature has equipped the beastie with a set of G14's !!.....

The winner has obviously been inspired by Solaris ;-0

OK, I mean, by the opening sequence in Tarkovsky's film 'Solaris', except T's images were, to my mind, better. The Village, Hungary is too symmetrical for me.

Great images but also very predictable from Nat. Geographic.

I'd have thought the 'top' photograph of the year, and the one that effected more people and more politics was taken by Nilufer Demir.
