If I set my DSLR camera to automatic ISO, and shutter priority, that means the camera will figure out the ISO and aperture.

But how? Does it do the aperture first, then the ISO, or vice versa? Or both at the same time?

Or have I a lot to learn?

In reply to Fredt:

It will do the aperture first generally as it will try and keep the ISO as low as possible. Once the aperture is as wide (low number) as it will go, it will then increase the ISO.

Higher ISO's create noise and hence the camera will try and keep it down.
