Well, with the recent launch of the Nik Software package from Google life can't be all that bad!
But you will require PS to use this superb package.

Whilst it says that on the blurb, they also seem to download as stand alone apps that you can use separately and if you have PS will integrate into that too. I can active them separate to PS on launchpad.

I hope that this doesn't mean that they're killing it off... The Nic suite's been a really useful tool set for me for the last few years (grumple, i paid for it, grumble)
