I have just been sent a link to a post on Facebook by Alan Kimber.

It suggests that MWIS in Scotland will go offline in December 2016. What does anyone else know about this?

An MCofS insider tells me there have been discussions to ensure continuity of mountain forecasting should/when Geoff decides to call it a day. The discussion was apparently not determined by cost.
