Anyone in the La Grave area and seen if the ice is forming? The ski info says there isn't much snow cover
Thanks

Well allegedly :

" en condition moyenne" mais grimper par personne.

Which suggests that someone went to have a look at it, thought it looked passable, but no-one that they saw was trying it. No snow at all, which is not remotely surprising and can make getting to any routes pretty unpleasant/perilous. Essentially the Southern French Alps (at least West of the Col du Lautaret), are VERY dry at the moment, and not very cold, so while getting to the base of the routes may sometimes be easier, there is not likely to be that much in condition when you get there.

BTW, the colours in the area spots indicate how recent the most recent inspection is, green most recent, yellow getting a bit old and red meaning no-one has reported for quite a while. Which makes the red spot for La Grave and the claimed date of the report above as being for 23/12/16 a bit puzzling.
